Going With Invisalign

If you decide to go with Invisalign the Invisalign technology will be used to take digital images of your teeth as they are, and then calculate what the final result will be. From these two images it then creates the series of aligners that will then be worn by the patient. One of the benefits with Invisalign is fewer visits to the dentist. At each visit you will be issued with the next series of aligners to be worn.

Typically aligners are worn for two weeks at a time, and then the next aligner is worn. As each aligner is worn it will feel at first a bit tight. This is natural as the aligner will gradually move your teeth into their correct position. As it comes to the end of that aligner they will start to feel well fitting (as your teeth have adjusted to that aligners shape). On the last aligner, your teeth will be in their new final resting position, and the last aligner will also then act as the retainer.
