Designing The Perfect Smile

If you are looking at getting your dream smile, then dental veneers may be the ideal treatment for you. They can really uplift your smile and give you the smile make over you deserve.

Getting dental veneers can be achieved through the 4 main stages:

Diagnostic wax up (impressions)
Trial Smile
Prototype
Permanent veneer fit

1. Diagnostic wax up – Impressions

The first step is to take impressions of your teeth which can be used for a diagnostic wax up. This wax model is used to show you what your teeth could potentially look like and you can discuss with your cosmetic dentist what you like and dislike, so alterations can be made if needed.

2. Trial Smile

After you have agreed you are happy with the wax up, the next stage is known as the trial smile. These will act as temporary veneers and will allow the patient to trial them before agreeing to move on to the final stage.

3. Prototype

If you are happy with the trial smile, these temporary veneers can then be used as a prototype to be worn home to see if you are truly happy with how they are going to look.

4. Permanent Fit

Once you are finally happy with the veneers, the next stage will to be to get the final veneers made and fitted. Please note that the teeth may need to be prepared to allow room for the veneers.

Teeth Whitening & Replacing an Old Veneer

This patient had an old single veneer which was over 15 years old. We carried out Ascent Teeth Whitening in combination with replacing the single veneer with a natural looking restoration

I was booked for an emergency visit with Dr Jesal Savania, whom I would highly recommend. I had a wisdom tooth removal, which I didn’t expect to happen on the day of the visit. I had a similar procedure done 10 years ago, which was very painful and traumatic. Dr Savania is a compassionate, professional dentist who calmed me down and he did the procedure in record time, with absolutely no pain. I came back to Dr Savania a few weeks after for a general check up – he is probably the best dentist I have been too and will definitely go back.
