Dental veneers are a cosmetic treatment that can greatly enhance the overall aesthetics of your smile, by giving you natural and beautiful looking teeth. Dental veneers are like “false finger nails” but for teeth. They are carefully crafted by skilled lab technicians to make perfectly rounded, shaped, white looking teeth which will then be bonded to the surfaces of your real teeth.
This is very much a cosmetic treatment that is geared at making your smile look more attractive, helping you build your confidence and to enjoy every day life. Some of the most common complaints patients come to us with for veneers are:
We offer free consultations so we can asses your teeth and discuss what suitable options are available to you. After the free consultation we will send a detailed treatment plan outlining all the options that was discussed.
After you have decided to go ahead with treatment, we will book your first appointment which will be to take impressions of your teeth (your teeth may need to be prepared first for the veneers). These impressions will then be used to make a diagnostic wax up of what your teeth could potentially look like with the veneers. We would then have you back to see the wax up so we can discuss what you like about the proposed veneers and if there are any changes you would like to make (so you are fully in control of your smile design).
When you are happy with the wax up, we will then make a temporary set of veneers so you can trial how your new smile could look. This is so you can get really get a feel for what your new teeth could potentially look like. We will be able to make any changes you would like to these temporary veneers to ensure we get the smile you are truly after. You will then be able to wear these homes to show your friends and family for their opinion as a prototype of the final result.
When you are happy with the prototype, we will then move on to making the final set of veneers, which will then be bonded to your existing teeth.
