Complete Dentures
In the most severe cases when you have lost all of your teeth or they are due to be extracted, you might be looking at getting a complete denture. Removable complete dentures will never be the same as your own set of teeth as they are not secured in place by anything, which means overtime as your jaw bone shrinks, the denture will need relining to be snug again. However, if the dentures are secured in place by dental implants, they will function more like your original teeth.

Upper Denture
Vs. Lower Denture
The difference between upper and lower jaws are quite significant. Upper dentures tend to be more stable as there is space on the jawbone.
It is to be expected that the lower jaw will experience the most problems. Lower jaws are naturally smaller than their upper counterparts, meaning there will be less space on the gums. Bone shrinkage does occur at a faster rate when it comes to the lower jaw. With the constant presence of a moving tongue, it does often mean the lower denture does move around more. The move movement that do occur, can start to cause the denture to lose its shape overtime.
Recently had a new top Denture made, the fit was superb. With my previous denture I needed to use dental fixative daily and it still would rock, but my new denture made by Julian Smith is perfect I use very little fixative and it lasts at least 48 to 72 hours now. I had been advised by my previous dentist that implants were probably not an option for me after losing several teeth. I decided to pursue looking for an implant specialist in the Tamworth area where I now lived. Finding Ascent and reading the very positive reviews I arranged a free consultation with Faresh. After a very informative discussion a treatment plan was put together for me detailing all the options available.
I was delighted to know that in fact I was suitable for implants and made a decision to go ahead. I was guided by Faresh and his team as to what would happen at each stage of my treatment plan. My implant journey began in December 2020 during Covid times and everyone at the practice were meticulous with cleanliness procedures providing reassurance to the patients.
It is now April 2021 and my implants are in and looking and feeling AMAZING!! I can now smile once again with pride and confidence. It is one of the best things that I have done and thank Faresh and his exceptional team for the kindness care and guidance that I received.

Would recommend 110%. I found the clinic based on the proximity to my house and Google reviews. Extremely good experience (especially considering you’re going to the dentist office!). I was booked for an emergency visit with Dr Jesal Savania, whom I would highly recommend. I had a wisdom tooth removal, which I didn’t expect to happen on the day of the visit. I had a similar procedure done 10 years ago, which was very painful and traumatic. Dr Savania is a compassionate, professional dentist who calmed me down and he did the procedure in record time, with absolutely no pain. I came back to Dr Savania a few weeks after for a general check up – he is probably the best dentist I have been too and will definitely go back.
After being scared of dentist for many years I booked appointment with ascent dental as I read they do iv sedation for nervous patients, yesterday I completed my course of treatment and everyone from the dentist and sedationist to the girls on reception were absolutely wonderful, all so kind and caring and made sure I was ok throughout. Brilliant dental practice would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Great service from this pratice, had composite bonding done by james and he couldnt of done a better job! Also had a retainer made and got it the next day thanks to the dental nurse emily. Can highly reccomend this pratice!
A great dental practise. My retainers broke and within 30 minutes I had my retainer replaced. Very much appreciated due to going abroad next day.
