What is a Sinus Lift?
A Sinus lift is a surgical procedure carried out by either a periodontist or a dentist who has had the sufficient training required for this procedure, where they will add bone in your upper jaw. This may be required in cases that do not have enough room for dental implants. There are sinuses in either side of the nose (known as maxillary), which may require the additional bone to be added in-between the jaw and maxillary. This procedure can also be called a “sinus augmentation”.
Ascent are definitely a dental surgery with a difference. Great service and Jay is not only a highly skilled dentist but also an excellent communicator. He keeps you advised of his processes throughout your visits and along with his assistants works hard to keep you relaxed.

What Are The Associated Risks With a Sinus Lift?
We always carry out all of our treatments carefully and thoroughly to ensure that any risks are minimal. There are a couple of risks that are associated with this procedure.
This is quite an uncommon problem but there is still a small risk of infection with the sinuses or gums. But we do monitor our patients after treatment to ensure that they are fine and safe.
I am a nervous patient and recently have had a fair amount of much needed dental work carried out at Ascent dental care in Tamworth. Everyone at the practice from the women on reception to the 3 practitioners I have had treatment from have been amazing. They have all made me feel respected, reassured and safe, the care and quality of treatment from the practitioners has been excellent. They have explained everything very clearly and listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. Also, I can honestly say that the treatment has been painless. I will never look forward to visiting the dentist but I am much more reassured that I will be taken care of and my dental care is in the safest and most professional hands!

After having a previous bad experience with a dentist,I walked into Ascent a complete nervous wreck .From the moment I sat in reception I was calmly reassured . Had a consultation with a member of the team then walked jelly legged into see Jas.
I was reassured and talked through my options and what outcome I would wish for as well as a long term plan to improve my oral health and prolong the time of keeping my teeth before exploring other options.
I felt that at ease and comfortable that I agreed to an extraction of a wisdom tooth at this very first appointment rather than prolong to my next appointment.
Left with a huge grin on my face knowing I made the best choice coming to this dentist and looking forward to my next appointment.

After being scared of dentist for many years I booked appointment with ascent dental as I read they do iv sedation for nervous patients, yesterday I completed my course of treatment and everyone from the dentist and sedationist to the girls on reception were absolutely wonderful, all so kind and caring and made sure I was ok throughout. Recently had a new top Denture made, the fit was superb. With my previous denture I needed to use dental fixative daily and it still would rock, but my new denture made by Julian Smith is perfect I use very little fixative and it lasts at least 48 to 72 hours now. Thank you for the quality professional service.
I can’t recommend this dentist enough! I was petrified of any dentist and would walk and cry and run out! Since finding Ascent dental care, I have never been more comfortable! Since starting jay has been nothing but reassuring! I have now started my Invisalign journey! Having various different treatments and seeing the hygienist I feel so much more relaxed! The receptionist Kathryn always greets everyone with a smile and so does the other girls on the front desk! I honestly can’t thank this dentist enough!
A great dental practise. My retainers broke and within 30 minutes I had my retainer replaced. Very much appreciated due to going abroad next day.
If like me you have had bad experiences in the past then this is the place to come to.I have been coming here now for two years to finally get the smile i am proud of.I had root canals carried out by Dr Jessal his skill and knowledge is amazing he is clearly at the very top of his profession,i never suffered any pain during or after and returned back to work that same day i can not thank him enough.
A short time after it was time for my crown work to begin and this was carried out by Dr Gursh who whitened my teeth and sorted out my new crowns which look so natural against my other teeth and a perfect fit first time,another top professional who cares and is passionate about getting that perfect smile, you cannot tell they are crowns amazing.
Now after my treatment i return to the hygienist Anita who keeps my teeth looking amazing.

Visited this practice as an emergency needing a tooth extraction ( which my own dentist said they couldn’t do) saw Laura who made me feel at ease and tooth was extracted with in 20 mins at half the price I was quoted from my own dental practice.. cannot praise this practice enough for there professionalism and caring attitude. Would definately advise and recommend this practice

I have always been nervous to have Invisalign and visited Ascent Dental Care apprehensively, unsure if braces were right for me. Rachel and Gursh have both been incredibly lovely and put my mind at ease. The practice uses all the latest equipment (Dental Monitoring is the way forward!) which is allowing me to complete me treatment time far faster than elsewhere!
