BChD University of Leeds 2014

James qualified from the University of Leeds in 2014 with merit and awards in Restorative Dentistry and Oral Surgery.

He gained his early professional experience in general practice in his hometown of Sutton Coldfield, before completing an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery core training post at Coventry University Hospital. During his time there he gained invaluable surgical experience and completed his Royal College of Surgeons examinations.

In 2016 James moved to London where he provided general dentistry, treatment under sedation for nervous patients, cosmetic dentistry and gained further experience in Oral Surgery and Implant Dentistry. He has since completed a Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology, gaining a Distinction.

James loves seeing and treating his patients, helping them achieve and maintain their best smiles. He focusses on prevention and ensures that the patient’s journey is personalised to them. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is always striving to keep up to date with the latest advancements to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved. Whether it be a routine exam or full mouth rehabilitation James follows the same protocols to ensure an optimum standard of dental care for all his patients.

I had been advised by my previous dentist that implants were probably not an option for me after losing several teeth. I decided to pursue looking for an implant specialist in the Tamworth area where I now lived. Finding Ascent and reading the very positive reviews I arranged a free consultation with Faresh. After a very informative discussion a treatment plan was put together for me detailing all the options available.

I was delighted to know that in fact I was suitable for implants and made a decision to go ahead. I was guided by Faresh and his team as to what would happen at each stage of my treatment plan. My implant journey began in December 2020 during Covid times and everyone at the practice were meticulous with cleanliness procedures providing reassurance to the patients.

It is now April 2021 and my implants are in and looking and feeling AMAZING!! I can now smile once again with pride and confidence. It is one of the best things that I have done and thank Faresh and his exceptional team for the kindness care and guidance that I received.

With my previous denture I needed to use dental fixative daily and it still would rock, but my new denture made by Julian Smith is perfect I use very little fixative and it lasts at least 48 to 72 hours now.
