What are Porcelain Veneers?

Veneers are a cosmetic treatment that are used to enhance the overall looks of your teeth and smile. They can be made out of a composite or porcelain material. The porcelain veneers are able to offer high durability and strength and as a result, can be made thinner, which requires less tooth preparation.

Veneers can be explained as the same principle of how a false finger nail works. They will be the perfect shape and colour of a tooth and will be placed on the tops of your teeth to give the impression of a perfect smile. They are constructed in a laboratory where the technician uses their skill and technology to carefully craft to your specification. The porcelain veneers are then carefully bonded to the surfaces of your teeth. They are purely a cosmetic treatment which can greatly enhance your smile.

Different Types of Porcelain Veneers

1. Emax veneers

Emax is one of the more popular brands of veneers that we tend to use. They are very thin and will require less tooth preparation.

2. Da Vinci veneers

Da Vinci are another type of thin porcelain veneer. They offer high durability and strength. They can be used to cover gaps and stains and even fill in a chipped part of a tooth.

3. MAC veneers

Mac veneers are made slightly different to other porcelain veneers. They are made from a pressable ceramic. They are most often used for:

Cover your stains, cracks and chips
Replace tooth filling
Replace the bridge
