Do You Suffer From Advanced Dental Bone Loss?

Arrange Your Free Consultation

For the successful placement of dental implants you will need to have sufficient bone in the jaws for the implants to be placed.
There are a number of factors that can cause advanced bone loss:

Missing teeth for a prolonged time.
Advanced gum disease.
Natural ageing wear and tear.
Traumatic tooth loss experience or an extraction.

Our highly trained dental team will take an x-ray of the mouth to determine the bone levels, and if indeed a bone graft may be required before the placement of dental implants. We will always advise our patients for the best course of action.
If we identify a bone graft is required, we will book a further appointment to meet your needs.

What Does a Bone Graft Involve?

For maximum comfort we will carry out this appointment under IV sedation.
The required bone will either come from another site of the mouth or be artificial bone.
The additional bone will then be fixed on the chosen site.
The treated site will be sealed and a healing period will follow before going to implant placement.

There will be some slight discomfort to be expected after a bone graft procedure but patients are able to take pain killers to help with this.
