Have Your Dentures Been Damaged?
Call to book your appointment today!
If your current denture has been damaged or a tooth has broken off, please do not hesitate to call us and book your appointment today.
We understand the importance of your teeth and the effects it can have when something happens to your denture. Not only affecting the way you look and feel about yourself, but also functionality, such as eating and talking.
When Will You Need a Denture Repair?
If you have had a sudden breakage or a tooth has come off, you will require an immediate repair. Accidents can happen and may end in your denture being broken. Overtime wear and tear can also occur, and depending how well the denture is looked after, you can minimise the chances of problems occurring. When your eating, putting your denture in or cleaning the denture, always take care not to accidentally drop it. If your denture starts to feel loose or uncomfortable, it may be that a denture reline is needed, to adjust the denture to fit your new measurements (as changes do occur in your mouth when you have lost teeth).
We do recommend getting seen to sooner rather than later and to never attempt a repair yourself, as you could potentially damage the denture further. Until we have seen the denture we will be unable to assess what exactly is needed.
How Long Will a Denture Repair Take?
We will always strive to fix your denture as soon as possible, to minimise the time you are without teeth. If you have a back up denture, we will always recommend to wear this while your denture is being repaired.
Denture Alternatives
One of the most modern ways to replace missing teeth is through dental implants. The implants are placed into your jawbone and will help secure your new teeth on top for a secure option. Allowing you to have a functional and aesthetically pleasing smile again.
